The Beverly Hills Courier Interview with Alexander Radosevic about managing property in Beverly Hills

“This is our town, and no one does it better” – Alexander Radosevic on managing property in Beverly Hills.

Alexander Radosevic, president of Canon Business Properties, Inc., has brought his expertise in investment and institutional banking with Shearson- Lehman, as well as his experience in selling office, industrial and commercial buildings in downtown Los Angeles to managing property in Beverly Hills.

Founded in 2001, Canon specializes in the management of real-estate assets for high-net-worth individuals. Canon provides an array of services focused on management, leasing, acquisition and disposition of real property. Canon’s clients are referred through law and accounting firms and personal recommendations. Managing property in Beverly Hills is the core of their business.

Mr. Radosevic owns and manages a diverse real-estate portfolio valued at approximately $2 billion dollars. As a property manager, broker and owner, Radosevic acknowledges he is, “someone who knows how it all works. A lot of property managers have never sold nor managed their own buildings. I have that experience; and that is what matters.” Because Canon consistently exceeds clients’ expectations, the firm has never been replaced by a competitor. Moreover, Canon’s mission is to “cultivate long-term client relationships based on integrity, trust and mutual respect.”

When Fred Hayman, a client of more than 10 years, sought to create the best boutique office building in Beverly Hills, he turned to Mr. Radosevic. From design, construction, accent lighting, re-tenanting and even art placement, Hayman and Mr. Radosevic collaborated to create and successfully complete the signature office building at 190 North Canon Drive, Beverly Hills.

As an example of his attention to detail, Mr. Radosevic worked with the Beverly Hills’ art commission to create a sculptural installation in front of the building that captured the famous storefront of the Giorgio Rodeo Drive boutique. “We’ve now turned this simple corner into an icon where people stop to take photographs,” Radosevic said. The building is now 100-percent occupied by high-profile tenants with an extensive waiting list. “This is because of the vision and commitment of Mr. Hayman who demands only the best,” Radosevic said.

Based on his success at the 190 N. Canon Dr. building, Hayman introduced Mr. Radosevic to Paula Kent Meehan. Radosevic and Meehan are now working together on the transformation of her Kenquest Building at 499 N. Canon Dr. and are in lease negotiations with top-tier office tenants.

“We are also entertaining offers for both signature restaurants and retail uses that will compliment the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts,” Radosevic says.

Mr. Radosevic was flattered when Arnold Rosenstein and David Margulies of New Pacific Realty Corporation approached him to manage their Richard Meier designed building at 160 N. Canon Dr. “There is no better feeling than when prospective clients approach you based on the work they have seen you do.” Mr. Radosevic’s professional reputation in the Beverly Hills business community resulted in an introduction to the Brunei Investment Agency. He now manages three properties in California and is soon acquiring one in New York.

Mr. Radosevic recently attended the exclusive Brunei Investment Agencies’ Hotel Bel-Air grand reopening, where he discussed future investment opportunities with the deputy minister and chairman of Brunei Economic Development Board, and managing property in Beverly Hills. “There are opportunities all over the world in real estate in this economically challenged market. I am constantly looking at opportunities for my clients,” adds Radosevic.

Attending the grand re-opening of the Brunei Investment Agencies’ Hotel Bel-Air was Suhara Yusop, Dato Ali Apong, deputy minister/chairman of Brunei Economic Development Board, and Alexander Radosevic, president of Canon Business Properties, and Alberto Rodriguez from Getty Images.
